Margaret Sabol Scholarship Award Application

The LPSCU is proud to offer this award to full time students pursuing a
Medical or Science degree including STEM programs. The Margaret Sabol
Scholarship Award, implemented in 2019, is given in memory of Margaret
Sabol, who was a member of LPSCU Branch 42, in Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania, through the generosity of her daughter.

Application Guidelines 

Recipient must have a life certificate with LPSCU.
Attend an accredited college/university in the fall of the Award year on a
full-time basis pursuing a Medical or Science degree including STEM
programs. Provide proof of acceptance/attendance.
Provide a wallet size photo.
Provide two letters of recommendation from a teacher, friend or religious
affiliation. Submit a one-page essay on “Why this degree is important to me”.
Application must be postmarked by August 15th.
The recipient of the Margaret Sabol Scholarship Award will receive $1,000.
No individual shall be eligible to receive the scholarship more than two times. Recipient will be selected by Margaret Sabol’s daughter from among all the
qualified applications.
